******Please call the store to REGISTER******** Pour Overs: Technical Precision vs. Survival Mode Date: Saturday, May 23 from 10 AM-12 PM / Cost: $35/attendee Class size is limited to 6 people. Attendees will each receive 10% off of one stocked item in the ATC store to use the day of the class (excluding espresso machines). Pour overs are among the most popular brew methods in today’s home brewing scene. While there are a plethora of amazing tools designed specifically to help control the factors in your brew, it is also possible to produce a fantastic cup of coffee the old fashioned way by paying attention to some basic brew factors. In this class, we will demonstrate the two theories side by side featuring both the Chemex and Melitta dripper. Kate Gilmore will teach a pour over brew method using technical precision, complete with a gooseneck kettle, scale, timer, and burr grinder. Tooti Roe will explain the survival mode style of brewing where a basic understanding of what is happening and why will empower the home brewer to simplify a brew routine. Experience with both methodologies will leave attendees prepared to conquer the pour over and apply those theories to each future brew venture regardless of the device.

Tasting: Affogatos / May 30 at Noon Join us if you are in town this holiday weekend for an indulgence of our favorite coffee dessert: the affogato! An affogato is ice cream/gelato drowned in espresso. The perfect melting of creamy richness and the divinely dark. We will provide the classic ice cream and espresso, but if you have a particular one you’d like to try as an affogato, feel free to bring in your own.
